A 52 Year Old Man from Mbeere Suffers from a Strange Disease




A 52 year old man, Joseph Kariuki from Mbeere, has been suffering from an unknown disease since November last year. The buttocks of Kariuki from Gwa-Kaithi village in Kanyuambora location have been decomposing and producing worms.

Embu Airstrip to be upgraded into a Commercial Airport Soon

A delegation from The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) and the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) paid a courtesy call on Embu Governor, Martin Wambora, earlier today. The delegation was in the county exploring the possibility of upgrading Embu Airstrip into a Commercial Airport. Governor Martin Wambora hosting KAA and KCAA officials In August last year, Wambora brought Embu County into the limelight when he announced that the county was exploring the possibility of upgrading the airstrip into a Commercial Airstrip that would start hosting commercial airlines. The governor noted that the Ministry of transport was inspecting the airstrip and would give a go ahead after the inspection. Embu Losers in Political Parties Nominations to Run as Independent Candidates

Seven Embu MCAs, including Ibrahim Swaleh, the Deputy Speaker, were rejected by the residents in the just concluded party nominations. Before he became an MCA, Swaleh was the councilor for Kirimari Ward. However, his rival, Morris Muchiri, trounced him in the Jubilee Party primaries. Nevertheless, Swaleh has decided to run for Kirimari MCA seat as an independent candidate.  Geoffrey Ruku, a former member of the Water Trust Board, also lost in the senatorial nominations for the Jubilee Party. He has however decided to vie for an MP position as an independent candidate. Geoffrey Ruku, Mbeere North MP Aspirant      Ruku lost to Njeru Ndwiga, a former Cooperative Development Minister.
