Kithinji Kiragu Decries Increased Sexual Offence Cases in Embu



Kithinji Kiragu, a Gubernatorial Candidate in Embu County, has decried the increasing sexual offence cases in the County. Kithinji has called on religious leaders to lead a behavioral change campaign in the County. He attributed many sexual offense cases in Embu to poverty and child neglect. The Gubernatorial Candidate noted that criminals entice young girls with money after which they fall prey to these sex pests. Mr. Kithinji called on all stakeholders to carry out a sensitization campaign and stem the vice from the area. He noted that the act ruins the future of innocent girls. Watch the video here.  

Meanwhile Kithinji has continued his campaign across the County. On Sunday, Kithinji held a major campaign rally at Kibugu Market where he urged the residents to come out in large numbers and vote for him come August 8th. The Gubernatorial Aspirant was accompanied by his running mate Mr. Elias Kathiga.

Embu Airstrip to be upgraded into a Commercial Airport Soon

A delegation from The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) and the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) paid a courtesy call on Embu Governor, Martin Wambora, earlier today. The delegation was in the county exploring the possibility of upgrading Embu Airstrip into a Commercial Airport. Embu Losers in Political Parties Nominations to Run as Independent Candidates

Seven Embu MCAs, including Ibrahim Swaleh, the Deputy Speaker, were rejected by the residents in the just concluded party nominations. Before he became an MCA, Swaleh was the councilor for Kirimari Ward. However, his rival, Morris Muchiri, trounced him in the Jubilee Party primaries. Nevertheless, Swaleh has decided to run for Kirimari MCA seat as an independent candidate.  Geoffrey Ruku, a former member of the Water Trust Board, also lost in the senatorial nominations for the Jubilee Party. He has however decided to vie for an MP position as an independent candidate. Geoffrey Ruku, Mbeere North MP Aspirant      Ruku lost to Njeru Ndwiga, a former Cooperative Development Minister.
